An abandoned toilet. 3 rooms, each with a screen. The mechanical sounds of repetition. The intimate moments from an industrialization of sex. We select, edit and consume. Again, and again we stain our plasma screens and burn the palms of our hands.
MAGMA is designed for all of this. A character created by Colombian artist Ana María Gallegos which only lives in social media. Her body repeats, trapped in a digital age where we cannot tell the difference between virtual and real flesh. We retain behaviours. Our hands vibrate. We industrialize sex because we have control.
